During her NYSC in 2016, she severed in one of the out-skirt communities in Port Harcourt in Nigeria where she trained over 50 young women on how to cut and sow. “I do not like the living condition of young women in the community, adolescents girls drop out of school because of unwanted pregnancies and become poor, young women do so many undignified work to feed themselves and their kids and how poverty oppress women. I wanted to create opportunities for them to bring them out of poverty and fashion is all that I know.” This was easier to do because I talked to the NYSC coordinator about providing machines and a space for these women to learn tailoring. I remember these women sold dresses and blouses they made to corpers in the village. I was fulfilled for that short period of time.
